Jason Schuler

Interconnection Program Lead

As the Interconnection Program Lead for Attentive Energy, Jason will take responsibility for the management and coordination of interconnection-related activities. This includes representing the company in front of Independent System Operators such as PJM to progress projects through the interconnection queues to obtain interconnection agreements, and interfacing with grid and transmission developers to ensure the Attentive Energy projects have the entitlements and assets needed to site transmission equipment.

Over the last eighteen years, Jason spent most of his time at FirstEnergy. His most recent position was leading the New Jersey Clean Energy Corridor (NJCEC), an onshore transmission solution to integrate 11GW of offshore wind generation into the PJM RTO through the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities’ State Agreement Approach (SAA). Additionally, Jason has built large teams to take on the most complex and demanding projects over the last ten years. Jason has extensive experience communicating grid resilience and blended generation to legislators and regulatory officials throughout the United States because of the public sensitivity of the projects he has managed.

Jason earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Shippensburg University. He also holds a certificate in Energy Innovation and Emerging Technology from Stanford University, as well as an Executive Certificate in Management and Leadership from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
