Fisheries Liaison

Sebastian Velez is Attentive Energy’s Fisheries Liaison. Sebastian has deep experience in fisheries science and management. He previously worked as a fisheries observer in the Bering Sea, Alaska and as the International Program Analyst for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Office of Law Enforcement focused on combating illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing activities in Southeast Asia and South America.

He holds a master’s degree in Biology from Florida Atlantic University where he researched the effects of the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill on juvenile snappers and groupers in the Gulf of Mexico, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine majoring in Marine Science.
