Attentive Energy Two: Taking Our Next Steps

March 7, 2024

Attentive Energy Two is putting plans into action as we move our recently NJBPU-awarded project forward. The team has been on the ground in New Jersey for over five years building partnerships, connecting with communities, and paving the way for a local supply chain and workforce.

Diving into New Jersey’s Third Offshore Wind Awards with Governor Murphy’s Cabinet, Labor Leaders and Advocates

We recently had the honor of presenting our project at Governor Murphy’s press event held at the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters dive school facility in Sicklerville, NJ. Thanks to the Carpenters for hosting us all at their extraordinary facility.

In his remarks, Managing Director Damian Bednarz recognized that through our many statewide partnerships, we will be able to strengthen the local supply chain and develop a skilled workforce for future New Jersey clean energy projects.

AE2 will commit up to $1 million to the Eastern Atlantic States Carpenters Technical Centers to support the Carpenters Apprenticeship Readiness Program, known as CARP, a pre-apprenticeship program offering preliminary training and creating a direct pathway into union membership within the building trades. This grant will be used to invest in training and recruitment efforts across New Jersey, with recruitment efforts targeted at groups traditionally underrepresented in the building trades.

Discussing Offshore Wind’s Evolving Landscape at Rowan University’s Sweeney Center

Attentive Energy Managing Director Damian Bednarz participated on a panel at Rowan University’s “Moving Forward on Offshore Wind: New Challenges, New Competition” conference, where he provided a thorough overview of our Attentive Energy Two project, alongside other offshore wind developers in the state. The event served as a platform to foster meaningful connections with local community leaders, esteemed academic and workforce partners, and public officials.

Connect with Us at IPF in New Orleans
