Attentive Energy, a subsidiary of TotalEnergies, has submitted an ambitious proposal to the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities’ third offshore wind solicitation that offers multiple commitments to help meet New Jersey’s environmental and economic goals.

This spring our team started collecting data on the movement of migratory bats in the offshore environment. Our team established two bat detectors aboard the survey vessel Emma McCall which collects geophysical and geotechnical data as part of Attentive Energy’s Year 2 Survey Program.

Attentive Energy, along with MRV Group, hosted two NJ Student Days to expose over 250 students from Gloucester and Essex Counties the offshore wind industry and related career pathways. The team was fortunate to partner with Timber Creek Regional High School in Sicklerville and the Newark School of Data Science and Information Technology.
Attentive Energy joined Captain Hugh Carola, Program Director, to launch the Eco-Cruise Partnership for the 2023 season. Eco-Cruises are educational and interactive tours for students and for the general public aboard Hackensack Riverkeeper’s specially rigged 30-foot pontoon boats.

Attentive Energy announced a new collaboration with supplier diversity and development firm MRV Group, LLC initiating two state-wide small/diverse business and nonprofit surveys to evaluate the challenges and business development pathways for these groups to enter the offshore wind industry.
Attentive Energy One announced plans for two offshore wind port facilities in New York Harbor generating $400 million in economic activity in New York State. In connection with the 1,400 MW proposal, which AE1 submitted to NYSERDA in January 2023, the project has entered into a lease agreement with Arthur Kill Terminal.
