Workforce & Economic Development Specialist

As the Workforce & Economic Development Specialist for Attentive Energy, Gaspar will support the company’s offshore wind projects’ economic investment programs and workforce engagement and development efforts. This role will work closely with the Workforce & Economic Development Manager to implement dozens of community investment and workforce development programs, with a focus on New York and New Jersey.

Over the last eleven years, Gaspar worked with the Lower East Side Employment Network, firstly as its Coordinator and later as its Partnership Director. After that, Gaspar worked for the City University of New York’s Office of Careers & Industry Partnerships as a Green Economy and Climate Resilience Industry Specialist. Additionally to his experience in workforce development, he was at StoryCorps facilitating interorganizational oral history partnerships as well as at Vera Institute of Justice, supporting research on and reform of criminal justice systems. He earned his BA from Wesleyan University in English Liberal Arts.
